With Pirated Sites being just a forum these days and no real central place to report design rip-off like I mentioned in my previous post, Eric Meyer and I have agreed to set a new industry standard. If your design gets ripped off, upload a photo of the ripped site to Flickr or whatever social photo sharing web site you use, or post it to your blog, or whever you like, but tag it with "piratedsites" ...this way it's decentralized and can be picked up by Technorati and more.

Good idea. Though I think it would be nice if, in the description, folks could post an address to the original site as well. Some of the ones already using the tag were obvious, because I frequent the site. But others...not so much.
Awesome. This is a great way to spread awareness of this kind of thing. I can remember the first time some of my designs were ripped off and only once where the person fessed up. It turned out they were using the code/images for learning purposes and I was perfectly fine with that, if only they had let me know ahead of time. This can become quite a sticky issue however, so the next step would be to inform creative types how to handle this effectively.
What a great idea. As you stated, this is becoming a huge issue. I've had my site design pirated twice (that I've known about) and was recently violated. But this time my content, not my design, was plagiarized. I have posted screen shots to flickr with the tag "piratedsites": http://www.flickr.com/photos/7564195@N02/sets/72157600326638983/ I actually emailed a cease and desist letter to the offender, who declined to repond or act upon it. Let's fight these thieves!
Looks like we're getting the word out: sites tagged with piratedsites on Flickr
